You Can’t Scale (or Exit) Without a People Strategy
Most small business owners can tell you exactly how much revenue came in last month. Fewer can tell you what happens to the business if their operations manager quits tomorrow.
This is more important than many business owners realize.
Whether the plan is aggressive growth, a sale, or handing the business off to family, the thing that determines success isn’t the product or the client list. It’s the people, and whether the business can run without any one person holding it together.
Owners tend to notice this too late, usually right after a key hire gives notice or a buyer’s due diligence team starts asking pointed questions.
