    Leaders need to understand how important mentors and advocates are — to everyone. It’s not just about diversity and racial equity, but about real inclusion. Who is being the advocate or the voice in the room, when I or another person of color is not there? It’s time to for C-level leaders to be intentional about their advocacy — making sure their black employees, specifically their black women employees, feel that support and that allyship. Allow for mistakes to be made, give feedback that is actionable, so that there is room for growth, advancement, and possibility.”
