Prescott HR Founder and President Kimberly N. Prescott, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, serves as both Board Chair for Leadership Howard County and Chapter President of SHRM Howard County. She also serves on the board of Girl Scouts of Central Maryland and was appointed to the Board of Directors for Downtown Columbia Partnership.
Kimberly was recently recently named as one the Baltimore Sun’s 2025 Women to Watch. She was also recognized last year as one of The Daily Record‘s Maryland Top 100 Women and one of this year’s Most Admired CEOs. Named as the 2022 Businessperson of the Year by the Howard County Chamber of Commerce, Kimberly also serves on the Board of the Chamber and as Chair of the Labor and Employment Subcommittee. She is past president of the Community Foundation of Howard County and was most recently appointed to the Maryland Commission on Civil Rights by Governor Wes Moore. Kimberly completed Leadership Baltimore County 2025 and Leadership Maryland 2023.

“Let me be clear: The businesses that I work with are not bad actors,” she said. “They’re hard-working employers that do the right thing for their employees and their communities. This kind of rhetoric discourages business owners from staying in Maryland, let alone expanding here.”

We can always rely on Prescott HR to create the best solutions for our needs. Kimberly’s knowledge of the laws and HR strategies is invaluable to organizations that do not have that talent in-house. As we grow and our needs change, Kimberly continues to be our trusted partner.”
